Course Outline

* Use of spreadsheets, including: what if analysis; financial, statistical and time/date functions; graphical presentation of data; organizing, sorting, querying and extracting information from spreadsheet; use of a solver to find optimal solutions to problems.

Each student shall create his/her own web page in pbwiki, which shall contain:

1. Links to his/her resume, created in password protected word file, with or without a photograph

2. Links to pages within the same wiki, where he/she shall use one page for each of the courses taken so far (of course additional pages can be created as the student advances through the programme).

3. Links to specific topics of interest (which the student can take up during the course).

4. Links to excel / doc / ppt created as part of this course

5. Inside the pages relating to the courses created as per 2 above (one page for each course), the student shall provide links to course-related material, assignments/tests submitted electronically, links to references relating to the course based on his/her study etc.

6. Relating to specific interest topics (as per 3 above), the student shall start working on one topic immediately, and do internet-based desk research on the same and prepare a few-page document on that topic, as well as a power point presentation.

The above will form part of the evaluation.
